This striking abstract composition features a very loose relationship to the visible world. Instead, it forces the viewer to focus on the qualities of form, line, colour, brushwork and composition.

What loosely appears to be an interior scene has been schematised and simplified into geometric shapes and gestural marks. Yet even though it is largely divorced from recognisable reality, the forms within this picture are still expressive and have the power to stir aesthetic emotion.

The painting is housed in a simple light wood frame that suits it very well. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
