A large and striking mid century modernist landscape composition, painted in oil onto canvas.

The artist has taken a geometric approach this painting, using the forms of the white buildings outlined in black to build depth and perspective. A number of figures can be see in the forefront by a door, painted in striking blues and reds which stand out against the stark white structures. Juxtaposed against the sharped edged rectangular the buildings are curved green mounds that represent bushes or trees. They lend a softness to the painting and balance out the composition wonderfully. This scene is set against a lovely blue sky which gives the painting a feeling of calm and peacefulness.

This large oil on canvas is housed in a complementary gilt frame with an inner linen border. The painting has some light marks, as well as some minor paint loss at its outermost edges due to the frame that are only noticeable very upon close inspection. The frame has some marks.
