Reminiscent of compositions by the very well known Modernist painter Paul Cezanne, this painting features similar brushstrokes that are ever shifting, overlapping, and breaking apart before coming back together again. The artist has used planes of colour and small brushstrokes that build up to form complex fields. He showcases his adept skills and proficiency with a palette knife, creating beautiful patterns and layers of blended and unblended colour with his tool.
The painting is housed in a simple wood frame which suits it perfectly. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition.
