In this scenic view, a white cottage nests in the middle of a lush forest surrounded by trees, and is situated beside a lake.

Using a rich and earthy colour palette, the artist has used short and brisk expressive brushstrokes to capture the lushness of nature, and has also skilfully captured the shadows of the trees cast onto the ground as well as on the cottage.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary wooden frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
