This nude figure study depicts a female figure seated on a chair, with one arm casually resting round the back of it. Painted in an expressionist manner, this well balanced composition features distinct, painterly brushstrokes, and a focus on colour and form.  The artist has left out facial details, choosing instead to pay attention to line, form, shape and colour.

There is a timeless quality to this painting that would make it a wonderful addition to any interior.

It is housed in a stunning wide profile wood frame with an inner gilt border. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
