A very pleasant and atmospheric modernist style street scene painting, executed in oil onto canvas board.

Three smartly dressed male figures, each donned in black top hats and black coats, stride through a picturesque pathway surrounded by lush trees, as they head towards a white monument in the distance.

The painting possesses semi-abstract qualities, as realistic details have been intentionally omitted. Instead, the artist has employed expressive brushstrokes to convey the mood and atmosphere of the scene, and the use of a muted and earthy colours imbues the entire composition in a sense of timelessness.

This oil on canvas board is housed in a complementary gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has very minor scuffs.
