A large and beautifully framed mid century modernist landscape composition in oil.
Skilfully executed, this painting features a farmyard composition in rich, earthy tones and textural paintwork. The hard edges of the barns contrast against the softer and rounder forms of the landscape. A hay cart sits to the left of the composition, reminding us that this is a working farm. There is quiet serenity to this picture – a nod to the peacefulness of rural life.
The painting is housed in a really wonderful hessian lined frame with an inner gilt border that illuminated the painting. The painting is in excellent condition. The frame has some very minor scuffing to the lower left gilt border, but this certainly does not detract from the overall attractiveness of the piece.
