A thoroughly well-executed mid 20th century painting dated 1954. The artwork depicts two elderly women sitting beside each other on a bench. There is an air of nostalgia, and they appear to be deep in conversation, reminiscing about their life experiences.
The artist has used a lovely neutral palette of grey, beige, green and blue that harmonises very well together. The use of very short and soft brushstrokes pair excellently with the subdued tones.
