A scenic mid-century modernist style landscape painting, executed in oil onto canvas.

In this restful composition, a lake is surrounded by fields and trees in the distance, and the foreground of the picture is punctuated by a boat at the edge of the lake, painted in a bold red colour.

The artist has used a selection of wonderful earthy palette colours and the respective colours are well-balanced across the painting, and the expressive brushstrokes that have been confidently executed gives the piece its painterly effect.

This oil on canvas is housed in its original mid century gilt frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition, and there are some scuffs to the lower right side of the frame, commensurate with age.
