In the foreground, we can spot 2 figures and a donkey strolling along the street of the town filled with buildings and some greenery.
A rich and uplifting palette of sky blue, browns, and greens has been used, capturing the liveliness of the town. Furthermore, the painting is a visual feast for the eyes – with thick and creamy areas of impasto creating a raw textural effect and as well as evoking tactility.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary champagne frame. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
