The swift and expressive brushstrokes used to execute a mix of earthy colours of the landscape conveys a sense of dynamism, and the gentle brushstrokes used to paint the sky wonderfully captures the calm and stillness of the night.

This oil on canvas is housed in a stunning wood frame with an inner linen as well as gilt window that illuminates the painting. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some age toning and light marks to its linen border.
