A restful and tranquil large modernist coastal landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1972.

This atmospheric painting presents a panoramic view of green fields by a seashore that stretches into the distance.

Rendered in an impressionist manner, the artist has swiftly applied loose and expressive brushstrokes to capture the fleeting atmospheric conditions of nature.

The painting overflows with a sense of calm and serenity, brought forth through the use of a gentle colour palette with soft hues.

This oil on canvas is is housed in a well-suited cream wood frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition. There are some tiny surface marks to the upper right quadrant of the canvas, as shown in the close up.  The frame has very minor scuffs.
