The artwork celebrates the raw beauty of nature, and is reminiscent of works by British painter J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851).
Great prominence has been given to the effects of light and atmosphere. Through the careful use of colour and a combination of short dabbed as well as loose and unrestrained brushstrokes, the painting displays the artist’s desire to capture the natural and transient atmospheric elements created at that particular moment in time.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
