The composition captures the dynamic energy of a frozen waterway winding through a snowy terrain beneath a dramatic sky. The artist has used broad, expressive brushstrokes and a striking palette to evoke the chill of winter and the fleeting glow of sunset.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. There is a small loss to upper corner of frame as shown, but it is otherwise in very good condition.
