Abstract in nature, the painting presents a panoramic view of a coastal landscape executed through the use of long and expressive brushstrokes. These long strokes sweep horizontally across the canvas very powerfully powerfully, leading our eyes from the sea on the left of the painting, to the shore, and followed by cliffs with some greenery on the right.
The use of light and muted colours including shades of blue, white, black, and green enriches the work with tranquillity, and the painting has a very soothing aesthetic overall.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner cream window. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some age marks present.
