A calm and atmospheric mid-century modernist style composition, executed in oil onto canvas by the established Swedish artist Fabian Lundqvist (1913-1989), whose works have been represented in many public collections in Sweden.

The painting captures a scene of two figures by a house, with a partial view of a sea in the background. Above them, a sun is shining brightly, lighting up the grey sky.

The colour palette of the painting is limited to shades of browns and white. These neutral colours create a subdued atmosphere, evoking a sense tranquility. The brushstrokes in the painting are soft and gentle, creating a sense of calmness throughout the artwork, and enhancing its overall soothing aesthetic.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary silver frame with an inner linen lining. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has light scuffing.
