A small but very interestingly executed mid century oil on board, housed in a wonderful frame.

This semi abstract composition features broad, expressive and textured brushstrokes. The artist has used contrasting and non-realistic colours to create a discernible scene where two figures appear to be standing on a truck with an open door. The artist has also exercised restraint with his paint, using what appears to be simple and minimal brushwork to execute the scene at hand. It is this restraint that shows off the artist’s skill, and makes the composition a very satisfying one to admire.

This oil on board is in very good vintage condition. It is housed in its original mid century linen-lined frame. There are ageing spots on the frame, commensurate with its age.
