In the middle ground, a tranquil lake stretches across the canvas, with a view of rolling hills in the distance. The foreground reveals a vast expanse of green fields, where boats and a hut rest by the edge of the river.

The artist’s distinct and expressive brushstrokes infuse the scene with a palpable sense of energy and vitality, capturing the dynamic essence of the landscape. Desaturated and subdued natural earthy shades of green, blue, and brown dominate the palette, adding depth and a soothing sense of warmth to the composition.

This large  oil on canvas is housed in a beautiful wood frame with visible grain and with an outer gilt border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has very minor scuffs.
