A pleasant mid 20th century composition of a street scene, executed in oil.

It is early in the morning, and a woman depicted carrying a basket on her head, and walking down an empty street of a town that is lined with rows of buildings and trees.

Soft painterly brushstrokes have been applied to create this charming modernist composition; and the painting is also characterised by an array of warm colours that are reflective of the cosiness of this quiet  neighbourhood.

This oil painting has been painted onto canvas and laid down onto board. It is housed in a lovely grainy wood frame. There are some surface marks and ageing to inner section of frame; however this does not detract from its overall attractiveness and is in lined to its vintage feel.
