The solitude of winter is celebrated in this work, as it presents a vast snow-covered landscape filled with trees, as they fade into the distance.

The artist has used a restrained colour palette; and together with the use of very fine and light brushstrokes – he has skillfully managed to create a lovely soft and misty effect, as well as a visual calm and stillness throughout the painting.

This oil on canvas is housed in a stunning ornate frame that pairs perfectly with it. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
