Getting a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror, we can see her wearing a scarf that wraps elegantly around her neck as well as a stylish hat that rests atop her head, adding a touch of glamour to her overall appearance. The painting offers a unique perspective on the subject’s physical presence as we can a view of both her front and back.

Painted in a post-impressionist style, the artist has used blocks of rich and saturated non-naturalistic colours to create a visually striking and vibrant composition.

This oil on board is housed in its original mid-century gilt frame with an inner linen lining with a wide inner painted border. Both the frame and painting are in good vintage condition.
