A striking and captivating abstract composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1954.

The painting depicts a creative interplay of geometric shapes and patterns, that playfully interact with one another. Each respective shape seems to occupy its own distinct space, yet together they form a cohesive and harmonious whole.

Featuring rich tones of red, white, blue, brown and black, the artist skillfully arranges these colours and shapes into a dynamic composition, creating a visual feast for the eyes.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim wood frame. The painting has scattered marks and paint losses, including to the edges, as seen in close ups.  There is also some wear to the paper lining on the canvas edges, also seen in the close ups.
