This mid century geometric abstract is painted in oil onto board and presented within an off white slip and a gilt frame.

Drawing on a distinctly modernist ethos, this painting is reminiscent of works by artists such as Pablo Picasso. We see a removal of ‘superfluous’ elements of both animal and human to reach a simple linear abstraction. The artist has intentionally chosen not to depict the figures realistically, and has instead reduced them down into shapes and lines. Simple yet effective outlines connect seamlessly, standing out against a vivid background of reds, greens, and whites to create this striking composition.
