A brilliant mid-century modernist style composition, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1951.

The composition presents an intimate interior setting. The focal point is a nude female figure seated on a grey block, her facial features deliberately omitted, creating an air of mystery. The gaze of the figure is directed engagingly at the viewer, inviting connection.

The background is a harmonious interplay of contrasting shades, forming abstract blocks that evoke a sense of balance and tranquility.

The overall atmosphere exudes serenity and a natural aesthetic, brought forth through the use of gentle and muted shades of browns, nudes, greens, and beige, as well as soft and delicate brushstrokes.

This oil on canvas is housed in a well-suited gilt frame with an inner linen lining. The painting is in excellent vintage condition,  and the linen lining on the frame has some age-toning present
