A small yet very striking mid-century abstract street scene composition, painted in oil onto board.

Presenting a bold display of vibrant colours and expressive brushstrokes, the composition presents a street scene in a neighbourhood setting lined with houses. Executed in an abstract manner, all realistic details have been omitted, and the artist has outlined the silhouette of houses, hinting at their presence.

The colour palette is limited, dominated by rich turquoise shades as well as vivid greens and yellows. These contrasting hues executed with expressive brushstrokes not only demonstrate depth but also create a visually striking composition.

This oil on board is housed in a unique silver frame with an inner linen lined border and a ridged wood window. The painting is in good vintage condition. The frame has a very light scuff to the top edge.
