Golden Apples
SOLD
A very pleasant modernist still life oil composition dated 1974, and painted by the established Swedish artist Ture Fabiansson (1910-1994), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, The Museum of Art in Gothenburg, Jönköping Museum, Borås Art Museum, and many others.
Inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty of simple, everyday objects, and embodying the essence of a modernist style, the painting captures a group of apples laid across a muted red cloth marked with gentle creases.
The use of expressive brushstrokes brings an energetic yet serene feel to the overall composition, and each apple has been into blocks of red, green, and yellow hues, emphasising their three-dimensional forms and roundness.
This oil on canvas is housed in a simple wood frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
Size: 29 x 41 cm (including frame)
