A very pleasant and tranquil scene of a park, painted in oil onto board.

We catch a glimpse of a back-facing silhouette of a figure in a long, flowing blue coat, standing on a pathway. Beside her is a little black dog that she has taken our for a walk. The park is a sanctuary of tall trees- their straight, towering trunks reaching upward.

The artist has used smooth brushstrokes, creating a gentle, dreamlike atmosphere. The outlines of the various forms are drawn with fine black lines, lending the composition a delicate, illustrative quality.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame that has been painted in subtle gold. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
