This nature landscape composition depicts a lush meadow sitting amidst a forest in the foreground, with a cliff in the background and mountains in the horizon.

Executed in a fauvist style, the artist has flattened the forms and has enhanced the colours of the natural world by using a plethora of vivid and saturated colours that harmonise wonderfully together. Distinct energetic and intuitive brushstrokes also fill the canvas, adding a light textural quality and imbuing the work with a sense of dynamism.

This painting is housed in a complementary deep profile wood frame with visible grain. Both frame and painting are in excellent vintage condition.
