In this mid-century semi-abstract figurative oil composition, a group of six figures walks forward, converging towards each other in the center.
Their forms are simplified, reducing them to black silhouettes with hints of red undertones and their faces glowing in orange. The absence of realistic details lends an enigmatic quality to the piece.
The backdrop, filled with overlaying shades of light yellow over green, as well as warm brown mustard, provides an intriguing rich background, enhancing the striking contrast of the figures.
This oil on board is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some scuffs.
