An atmospheric modernist landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas.

The painting presents a countryside landscape by a coast, at dusk. A row of houses and some tress line the hilltop in the middle of the painting, and its darker moody shades first capture our attention.

The artist has perfectly balanced the landscape and the sky, emphasising their equal importance in creating the overall mood of the painting.

A sky filled with some clouds takes up the top half of the canvas, with a beautiful expanse of blue stretching from one end to the other.

The landscape consisting of lush green grasses and terrain take up a significant portion of the painting, The artist has used short and vertical expressive strokes to execute a mix of earthy colours, conveying a sense of movement and capturing the fleeting nature of the moment.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary silver frame with linen border. There is some minor wear to the frame which is in keeping with the style. Overall, both the painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
