An emotive and wonderfully executed mid-century abstract artwork, painted in oil onto canvas and dated 1963.

Captured through dynamic brushwork and a bold abstraction of form, we can perhaps discern the essence of a brewing thunderstorm along a coast.

Swathes of paint sweep across the canvas in contrasting shades, conveying the tumultuous energy of a storm and thunder reverberating through the atmosphere. The composition has been reduced to its artistic elements, with expressive brushstrokes evoking the raw power of the storm.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary silver-painted wood frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some scuffs.
