The composition presents an assortment of objects including bottles, fruit, glasses, and a box laid across a table surface.

Incorporating elements of cubism and abstraction, this painting emphasises the beauty of colour, shape, and form. The artist has fragmented the various forms down to blocks of contrasting shades to highlight their three-dimensional qualities, whilst simultaneously emphasising the two-dimensional flatness of the board.

Using a beautiful and restrained muted colour palette, the painting exudes calm,  and the strong play of light and dark shades as gives the illusion of depth.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
