A very large and very well executed mid century semi-abstract oil composition, painted onto board.

This very large painting has much to offer. Spanning 1.13metres in length, it oozes details. Thick and gestural brush strokes of paint in a myriad of autumnal colours encourage our eyes to slowly peel away each layer, taking us on a journey into the depths of this wooded landscape.

We love how the bottom half of the composition is abstract, yet perfectly captures the essence of the natural forest and its floor teeming with fallen leaves and wildlife.

The painting is housed in a really robust distressed frame that has hints of red, green and black, bringing out the colours of the painting wonderfully. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition. The frame has some general wear that is in keeping with its overall style.
