A solitary woman sits in profile beside what appears to be a window, her form pared back into simple blocks of colour and loosely drawn lines. The artist gives us very little detail, yet somehow there is enough to suggest a whole moment. Someone sitting, waiting, thinking or simply watching the world beyond the glass. Powder blue and pale green create a soft, almost dreamlike setting, while touches of mustard, pink and deep teal bring warmth and structure to the composition.
The painting is wonderfully presented in a simple but effective wood frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
