A panoramic and ambient large semi abstract mid century modernist composition in oil, painted onto board.

As we let our eyes rest on this painting, it takes us on a journey to a place far away. The view point of the composition is reminiscent of being on a road trip, staring out the window looking at the panoramic landscape laid out before us. A long never-ending road stretches out in front of us, with not a soul in sight. There is a softness and quietness to this painting which makes it such a wonderful picture to transport our minds elsewhere. The simple yet very effective composition combined with the  light and minimal colour palette has a meditative effect.

This large oil on canvas is housed in a very complementary mid century frame with a dark outer edge, and linen lined border and an inner gilt window. It is very effective in drawing our sight inward into the painting, enhancing its meditative effect. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
