An elegant and restful mid-century modernist style still life painting, executed in oil onto canvas.

The composition features a carefully arranged tabletop setting of a vase of yellow tulips, a plate of fruit, and a blue bottle. The objects are set against a taupe and blue wall, which enhances the overall form and colours of the objects.

The combination of the use of gentle brushstrokes as well as uplifting colours in the painting create a calm and soothing atmosphere.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary grey ridged frame. There are some areas of abrasion and small paint losses to the top and lower edge of the painting, where a previous frame has sat. There are a few tiny areas of paint loss to the main body of the painting, predominantly on the tulips, as shown. However, these are not immediately noticeable and do not detract from its overall attractiveness. There is some minor wear to the frame edges.
