A well balanced mid century Swedish oil of willow trees set within a winter landscape, painted onto canvas in 1984. The artist has worked in an expressionist style, using non naturalistic colours to create the composition we see. We are able to identify distinct areas of colours, where the artist has skilfully used contrasting flat areas of colour to create depth and a sense of space within this semi-abstract picture.

The picture is housed in a simple gilt frame, which suits it very well. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition.
