A visually pleasing and charming modernist oil painting depicting a scene of a marina with several boats, and a row of huts that lined by the waterfront promenade.

The artist has used a beautiful restrained palette – selectively choosing similar shades of white, yellow, and brown to paint the huts and boats that seemingly reflective each other.  This not only makes the artwork very well-balanced, but it also creates a sense of depth to the painting.

Expressive and painterly brushworks have been applied in a swift manner, breathing so much energy and vigour to the overall artwork.

This oil on canvas is housed in a highly complementary grainy wood frame with an inner gilt and linen lining. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
