A stunning and very well-executed modernist style painting, executed in oil onto board.

This composition presents a panoramic view of a bay, surrounded by some canoes by the shore. In the background, we can discern rows of houses that have been painted in a semi-abstract manner as they have been reduced down to blocks of contrasting colours.

A beautiful neutral muted colour palette comprising shades of grey, beige and blue have been used and the varying colours not only harmonise so well together but also imbue the work with a very calm and soothing effect.

This oil on board is housed in a lovely and robust wide-profiled painted wood frame that pairs perfectly with the painting. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. The frame has a small nick to the upper right corner, as seen in photos. Otherwise in good condition overall.
