Lush flora is set amidst a row of houses, as a woman carrying a basket filled with fresh produce on her head in depicted coming down a pathway.

Short and broad painterly brushstrokes that have been applied in a confident manner fill the canvas; and the artist has executed the work in a bold yet muted earthy colour palette.

This oil on canvas is in excellent vintage condition. It is housed in a complementary cream wooden frame that has some marks and scuffs, which do not detract from the overall charm of the painting.
