A striking and well-executed still life composition painted in a modernist manner, and dated 1952.

Placed atop a table and against a well-coloured backdrop sit an interesting mix of objects including cherries, two fish, a lemon, a capsicum and a blue container.

The painting features rich colours, bold outlines and a nice texture, and there is a sense of harmony and balance within the picture.

This oil on board is in good vintage condition. It is housed in a beautiful gilt frame with copper undertones, and there has some areas of scuff on the frame.
