A delightful and energetic Scanian landscape painting, dated 1971.
The warm and rich plethora of colours as well as textured and short brushstrokes used imbue the painting with liveliness and vitality; and as we scan our eyes across the painting from left to right, our eyes are treated to a feast with lots of detailing to take in and enjoy.
It is a warm summer day with clouds floating in the clear blue sky, and ducks soaring in the air.
A farmer in a tractor is depicted ploughing the fields, preparing the soil for seeding. We can also spot a cottage surrounded by trees and different well-grown agricultural crops. In the background, there is a row of trees lined up across the hills beyond.
The painting is housed in a complementary brown frame. It comes in good vintage condition, but there are 2 pin holes visible on the left side of the painting.
Size: 20 x 64 cm (including frame)
