Laid out on a pink table and overlooking an open window lay a group of objects including a bowl of pears, some apples, a pot as well as a pheasant.

There is a strong focus on colour as well as texture of the objects as the painting is characterised by rich and uplifting colours as well as the thick application of paint in certain areas to evoke tactility and exemplify the three-dimensional quality of the objects.

This oil on board is housed in stunning deep-profiled dark wood frame with an outer gilt border and a light inner border. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
