This scenic painting depicts a figure strolling through a park enveloped by tall trees. Semi-abstract in nature, all realistic details have been omitted and there is a strong focus on expressive brushstrokes and colour.
The deliberate use of a limited and rich palette comprising shades of yellow, green, and black enhances the composition’s cohesion, while allowing the brushstrokes to take centre stage.
Long sweeping bold strokes have been confidently executed, imbuing the scene with dynamism.
This large oil on canvas is housed is a stunning wood frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has minor scuffs.
