A restful and tranquil mid century landscape composition, executed in oil on canvas.

Although semi-abstract in composition, we are still able to discern what appears to be a hilly landscape with areas of greenery and rockery.

A combination of soft and gentle brushstrokes as well as light pastel colours including blue, pink and green have been used, adding a very calming and soothing effect to the painting.

The artist has paired contrasting blocks of colours that not only harmonise very well together, but also create a sense of depth and space to the painting.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary gold-painted wood frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
