A wonderfully expressive mid century oil on canvas, depicting a lush wooded landscape.

Bold, painterly brushstrokes capture the effects of the elements on the landscape – we get a sense of a light wind blowing through the trees, their branches swaying side to side, the leaves rustling as they go. The artist has used rich, vivid colours to capture the array of hues and shades of the woods. A lighter palette ahs been used for the top half of the picture, where the tree canopy is more exposed to the light of the sky. As we move further down the picture, a deeper, darker, earthier palette has  been used to depict lush depths of the woods and the forest floor.

This oil painting is housed in a wood frame with visible grain. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
