Fine and soft brushstrokes have been executed so thoughtfully and delicately, complementing the tranquility of this outdoor scene; and painting is very well balanced with equal visual weight between the land and sky areas.

The spaced out houses and trees in the middle ground have clear silhouettes but have been uniquely painted with a ‘misty glaze’ , further imbuing the work with an air of mystery.

This oil on canvas is housed in a beautiful wood frame with an inner cream and gilt window. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has some marks and scuffs (as seen in the photos).
