A striking and wonderfully textured modernist still life composition, executed in oil on canvas laid onto board.

In this lively still life composition, an assortment of objects are placed on a checkered red and white gingham tablecloth. These include items such pears, an egg holder, a wine glass and a couple of pitchers to name a few.

Painted in an expressionist style, textured brushstrokes have been applied in a dynamic manner – accentuating the pattern of the gingham tablecloth as well as the three-dimensionality of the objects.

This painting is housed in a complementary silver frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition, and there is some damage to the lower right corner of the frame. The backing board that the painting is on is slightly uneven.
