A brilliantly executed and elegant mid century painting by Swedish artist Ivar Morsing, executed in oil onto board.

Painted in a semi-abstract manner, the artist has left out realistic details as he depicts a group of figures gathering together.

Gentle yet expressive brushwork with precise strokes and a subtle blending of a rich palette comprising shades of yellow, white and brown fill the canvas.

The artist has very skilfully imbued the painting with a luminosity, which is further enhanced by the gilt frame that surrounds it.

This oil on board is housed in a beautiful gilt frame with an inner linen lining and gilt window.  Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
