The painting showcases a blue table setting, where a plate of 3 fish and 3 pears are placed on a red tablecloth.

Rich and saturated colours have been used, imbuing the work with liveliness. The artist has taken care to depict the individual characteristics of each fish and pear, utilising varying shades to convey their three-dimensional qualities.

The brushstrokes rendered are expressive and textured, adding a sense of depth and tactile quality to the painting. To further highlight the forms of the objects, thin black outlines have been incorporated. These outlines define the edges of the plate, fish, and pears, helping to distinguish them and enhance their presence within the composition.

This oil on board is housed in a beautiful linen lined frame with an inner and outer dark wood window. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
